MAE HONG SON "city of the three mists" is nestled in the deep valley sheltered by numerous high
mountains that make the city virtually cover with mist throughout the year. In the past, the town was
isolated due to bad transportations and lack of communications from the outside world. The name
"MAE HONG SON" refers to the fact that the terrain is highly suitable for training the elephants. In the
olden day, Chiangmai Governors used to organise the rounding up of wild elephants which were
trained before being sent to Chiangmai for work. "MAE HONG SON" today, is one of “ The Dream
Destination “ for visitors, attached by the spectacular scenery, numerous hilltribes, especialy the
long-necked Karen or Padong and also soft adventure opportunities. |

Day 1.
An excursion to a jungle area north of Chiangmai with a stop
at the orchids nursery to refresh yourselves with 500 spicies of the
exquisite blooms with a chance to study and enjoy the life circle of the
butterfly at mini butterfly farm. Continue driving to the forested area
of Mae Tang for a visit to Mae Taman Elephant camp,Take a chance to feed
the elephants also the baby one with the banana and sugarcane. Make
yourselves smile when looking at the baby elephants enjoy bathing and
being naughty before seeing them being trained to be used for logging
then drive to a remoated elephant village to take a ride on the elephant
back to the jungle with a real local mahout passing natural surrounding.
Picnic lunch at the camp . After lunch, fullfill your trip to be memorable
with challenging, awesome and exhirating white- water rubber boat along
exciting rapids for an hour before heading to Pai passing mountainous
widing road .Enjoy the colorful walking street at night in the town .Stay
overnight at the resort hotel in Pai
Day 2.
Breakfast at the resort, and depart the resort for a visit to one
of the most famous cave of Thailand,: LOD CAVE “ . Ride on a small bamboo
raft along a stream into the cave to touch the beauty of the stalacties
and stalagmites , then drive to a village of a smallest tribe migrated
from Tibet “ the Lisu Tribe “. Lunch at the restaurant , after that drive
back to Chiangmai. |

Day 1.
Leave Chiang Mai by the morning flight to Mae Hong Son,
“ city of the three mists “ Check-in at the hotel and start to
explore the unspoilt city to touch its beauty. Visit Wat Phra

That Doi Kong Moo “ the most important temple of Mae
Hong Son located on the top of the hill with the panoramic
view of the city, then drive through the mountainous area to
visit fish cave where numerous colorful fishes can be seen.
Stay overnight in Mae Hong Son.
Day 2.
Early leave the hotel for the morning market to observe a
traditional mode of living of the local Shan people selling
foods , vegetables, and their local handicrafts, then drive back
to the hotel for breakfast. After that, drive to the boat landing for
a picturesque boat trip through exciting rapid of Pai River to
visit the village of the long-necked Karen or Padong to
witness the elongated –neck girls wearing numerous brass
rings around their necks.
Take the boat riding back to Mae Hong Son and have
lunch at the local restaurant before exploring several beautiful
and very unique Burmese style temples, Wat Jong Kham and
Wat Jong Klang the lake-sided temples located in the center
of the city before taking a late afternoon flight back to Chiangmai |
